anti-racism statement

Renewing Dignity unequivocally condemns, and we will not tolerate, the embedded structural and systemic racism that jeopardizes the health, safety, economic, professional, and societal gains of Black and Brown Americans.

We have work to do and promise to take the following immediate actions:

  • Deepen our education and commitment to a diverse, equitable, inclusive, and accessible culture,

  • Diversify our Board of Directors and volunteers to become an organization more reflective of the community in which we live and work,

  • Advocate, especially on behalf of menstruators of color, to have greater and equitable access to period supplies.

Our mission is to eliminate period poverty through direct period product distribution, education, and advocacy. We believe that meeting menstrual hygiene needs is a human right that nourishes health and safety, dignity, equity, and social justice. Because period poverty disproportionately affects menstruators of color, we must do more to acknowledge and correct this inequity on behalf of our common humanity.

We are strongly committed to the long-term, meaningful conversations and actions that will lift lives of every color and orientation out of generational systemic poverty; and promote equity and social justice for all.
